A fiber laser cutting machine uses active optical fibers to create a laser beam and a transport fiber to transmit this to the machine's cutting head. This super hot laser is condensed down to a narrow beam and is used to cut through metals of various thicknesses.

Fiber laser is more precise and faster than plasma, small cutting area or kerf is 0.007 inches, it does a very precise job for small corners. Plasma cutting kerf is 0.06 which makes it difficult to cut materials less than 1 inch thick and speed is 2-10 times less with plasma cutting. On the other hand, the Co2 laser for metals cannot accurately cut highly reflective materials such as stainless steel and aluminum, its maintenance is complicated and it has high energy consumption.

The Fiber laser machines has the smallest operation cost in the market, it use between 10 usd to 30 usd energy and with screw compressor you don't spend money cutting with gases like nitrogen or oxygen. The lifetime of lasers varies between 3 years to 20 years, depending the thickness and work profile of customers.
